Guide
Dear Wanderer,
I'm not a travel company. I'm not an agency with a call centre. I'm a person — just like you — who fell so deeply in love with Northeast India and North Bengal that I decided to spend my life helping others discover it.

When you travel with me, you sit in my car, not a rented bus. You eat where the locals eat, sleep where I recommend, and take the roads most tourists never see. I speak the local languages, I know the families, the festivals, the forest paths — and I know which roads wash out in the rain and which mountain pass opens at dawn.

I only take 4 people at a time. That's not a limitation — that's the point. Your journey should feel like travel, not tourism.

We wanted something private — not a group coach tour. Travelling in his own car through Darjeeling, Kalimpong and Dooars was exactly that. We extended by 2 extra days on the spot because we couldn't leave. He made it happen.

The Arunachal ILP was ready before we even landed in Guwahati. Tawang monastery in fresh snow at 4am — I had absolutely no idea India had places like this. The 4-person limit made it feel like travelling with a brilliant knowledgeable friend.

Before You Ask

Frequently Asked Questions

It means exactly that — I never take more than 4 travellers in my car at one time. This is a deliberate choice, not a limitation. With 4 or fewer people, your trip stays intimate, flexible and genuinely personal. There's no group schedule to follow, no strangers you didn't choose to travel with, and the whole car is yours.
Northeast India is genuinely one of the safest regions in India for solo travel — including for women. The local communities are welcoming and the culture is respectful. And with me as your guide and driver, you are never navigating roads, permits or remote areas alone. Many of my favourite trips have been solo travellers who came back and told me it was the best decision they ever made.
An Inner Line Permit (ILP) or Restricted Area Permit (RAP) is a government document required to enter Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur and Mizoram. You do not need to arrange it yourself — I handle all permit documentation completely before your travel date. You simply share your ID and passport-size photo with me, and the permits are ready when you arrive.
Because no two trips are the same. The cost of your journey depends on your destination, the number of days, group size, choice of stays (budget homestay or mid-range hotel), any special experiences you want, and the season. I personally quote every trip after a conversation with you — so the price you get is built for your specific trip, not a generic package estimate.
For most trips I recommend at least 3–4 weeks notice so I can arrange permits, check availability of stays and plan properly. For peak season trips (October–November, March–April) and for Hornbill Festival in Nagaland, 2–3 months is better. That said, if you have a shorter window — reach out anyway and I will tell you honestly what's possible.
Absolutely — and it is one of my favourite combinations. Starting from Darjeeling or the Dooars jungles and then crossing into Sikkim before entering Assam makes for an extraordinary 14–18 day journey. Tea gardens, elephant safaris, river islands, tribal villages and snow monasteries — all in one drive. Tell me your total number of days and I will design the route.
